Maunalahilahi - by Mary Robbins

No Maunalahilahi ka ke aloha
Hoʻonipo mau nei i kuʻu puʻuwai
Ahe waiwai nui ʻoe na mākou
I ko hiki ana mai i kuʻu alo

O ke alo kēia o ka lani
Ke piha kuʻi nei i ke kanaka
Noho aku mākou la hoʻolono
O ka hone a ke kai i ka puʻu one

Hauʻoli na kini lehulehu
Ke pipiʻi nei e ka wai aniani
Haʻina kou inoa o Keaka
A he punahele ʻoe no mākou

Affection for Maunalahilahi
Lingers in my heart
You are a treasure to us
As you approach my presence

It is as if we are in the presence of royalty
Where many gather often
We sit here and listen to the sea
As it murmurs to the sand mounds

The gatherings here are full of joy
As the crystal clear liquid bubbles
This is my praise of Jack
You are a beloved person to all of us
